THUNDER OVER MICHIGAN
Our guys are back from the “Thunder
Over Michigan” air show at Willow Run Airport in Ypsilanti, Michigan and brought
rave reviews of the show.
Our flight was a long 7.3 hours. At one of
our fuel stops in Akron, Ohio where 5 Warbirds also stopped for fuel, it
was a wonderful sight to see them flying formation and preparing to land. The
aircraft were a P40, P51 Bob and
Chris from WARBIRDS Over Long Island and “Jackie’s Revenge”, a P-47 from
the Airpower museum also two more B-25’s.
The air show was Fantastic! we
performed a pilot down rescue hoisting two downed pilots to safety. Flying with
us in the show were three O2A's observation aircraft, used during the
Vietnam War. Also flying with us was a F58 and a Russian Mig.
15 B25's were there at the show and they
all flew in two formations. What a wonderful sight to see these Warbirds all
flying at the same time.
Below are some of the aircraft that also flew at Thunder Over Michigan air show.
